Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about battery, privacy, and reliability.
No. SalahMode uses native Android alarm clock scheduling instead of heavy background loops. It wakes the phone for only a fraction of a second at prayer times, consuming less than 1% of your daily battery.
Yes. Chinese OEMs often kill background apps aggressively. SalahMode is specially engineered with high-priority alarm clock intents and guides you through setting "No restrictions" and "Autostart" so prayer silences and Azans fire reliably 365 days a year.
Android requires DND permission so the app can automatically mute ringtones and call alerts before Jamaat begins, and safely restore your standard sound profile after you finish praying — without you ever pressing a physical button.
100% private. Unlike other apps that monetize or sell location telemetry, SalahMode works completely offline. Your GPS calculations, Qaza Umri records, and Tasbeeh counters remain strictly on your own device.
The iOS version is currently being built. You can enter your email in the iOS waitlist box at the top of this page to receive exclusive early beta access as soon as it launches.
